The start of a New Year always seems to be a time of reflection.
How was the last year? What is in store for the new year?
What celebrities will make it through 2017?
Where will I fit in this new year?

It is a time of (and for) New Beginnings. As Christians we are told we are a new creation in Christ, but how? I feel it begins with our heart. Much like it is described in Ezekiel 11:19: “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.”
I like how the verse says we will be giving an “undivided heart,” too often we can be pulled in many different directions between the various activities and hustle and bustle of life – and especially every time our devices bing/ping/ring. In the midst of our business we create or find ourselves in we can begin to feel very alone and adrift, being pushed/pulled from one thing to the next.
But here in the new year let us be of an undivided heart and let Christ light our ways.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
