Approval

Galatians 1:10 reads:

10 Am I trying to win over human beings or God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I wouldn’t be Christ’s slave.

Approval.

Ever find yourself wanting it?

Working or searching for some sort approval from someone or something?
We work for grades, trophies, awards – the thought of Sally Field winning her Oscar and saying: “You like me!” jumps into my mind.

But who’s approval are we searching for?

As Christians we are striving to be more like Christ in our daily walk with God.  And as we seek to be more Christ-like, our approval comes from God.  When we put our focus of approval on God, the importance of other folks’ approval falls away as we grow closer to God through Christ Jesus.

So let us remember we are beautifully and wonderfully made in the image of God to do great things for the glory of God in each and every day.  And it is in the Love of God where we find our approval.
